Hey friends! I haven't been on here in a long time. But, despite all the changes in my world this space is so important to me. I can't tell you how many people have come up to me to remark how they enjoyed reading my what I have been able to share on Fern & Fog. I mean, it's not a lot, but enough for me to realize that I wasn't just typing and sending these posts to a black hole. So, thank you. Thank you for reading and letting me know that I'm not a complete insane person for being interested in any of the topics I have produced or written about. I can't tell you how much it means to me.
As of late, I have switched over to exploring the idea of creative collaboration for my local community and surrounding areas. You can take a look at the bare-bones website I created called North Creative (which I secretly feel implies a Fern & Fog tone.)
Amy and Jon of Humboldt Bay Social Club heard my cry for collaboration and invited me to help them on a new project called Humboldt Bay Supper Club. Which is everything I love to do: eat, drink, entertain, and find ways of to creatively tell a story. Amy and Jon are some of those really special people with really amazing ideas that I feel really lucky to know.
What is the Humboldt Bay Supper Club?
Humboldt Bay Supper Club is an event series of catered dinner weekends created by guest chefs, caterers, and event planners.
Located in different locations throughout Humboldt Bay Social Club's properties on the Bay, each supper has a distinct style and flavor. Dine on a locally inspired, five-course menu crafted to match the season while enjoying beer and wine paired with each course.
Time moves slowly at the Humboldt Bay Supper Club. As evening turns to night, dinner turns to desert and to cocktails around the fire. A limited number of Supper Club tickets include a 2-night stay at the Humboldt Bay Social Club and brunch the following morning, also prepared by the Supper's chef.
Think Wreath Making Workshop x20, or Mother's Day feast x100. Think local and inspiring Chef with a story to tell, and we get to experience the story via food. Think family-style tables, candlelight, and cozy blankets strewn over chairs.
I know this is right up Fern & Fog's ally, so perhaps those of you who check in here might be interested too.
And, if you ever want to collaborate or have a great idea you would like to see to fruition, reach out. You helped me and I want to help you if I can.
Happy Fall friends.
